URBAN FOSSIL
NYC

Urban Fossils are a relic of the history of cities. Cemented stories of people who traversed the land and authored them. Captured and concreted into our sidewalks and streets, Urban Fossils are impressions of humans and animals, scrawls of names lived and illuminations of whimsical proclamations. Hiding in plain sight among city architecture, urban paleontology solidifies our existence by capturing and sealing our language and imagery. Urban Fossils are our private thoughts, poetry, wishes, grievances, blaspheme and spoken word, in an unspoken manner. Seen or unseen, Urban Fossils are a vital part of our social construct.
