Julie Eisenberg Pitman is a collage artist and designer currently working in New York City with a studio in Manhattan and in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Her collage work is produced by hand and is made with glue, exact knife and scissors. Eisenberg Pitman is an openly ecstatic salvager who, has always relished in creating new art from cast-offs she finds. Her penchant for fantasy and love of nature informs her artwork, which is identified for its collaged augmentation of images giving them contemporary meaning, creating worlds that are both fantastic and familiar. Her suite of mixed-media collages deal with themes of repetition, nature, and detritus of the modern world. Eisenberg Pitman’s work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, in such venues as the The Williamsburg Art & Historical Center – NYC, Palazzo Albrizzi – Venice, Italy, Gallery Fidi – NYC and Cape Cod Art Association – MA. Eisenberg Pitman founded Julie Pitman Design in 1998, a design studio in downtown Manhattan, that focuses on bringing artistic integrity to graphic design. She accepts commercial and commission projects.
